Assignment Number 1:
Developing a Recovery Focused Nursing Care Plan [RFNCP].
A Recovery Focused Nursing Care Plan based on the care of a consumer described in one of scenarios.
Assignment Instructions:
1.Select one Consumer (Alexander or Eliza) from the Scenarios available as the basis for your assignment [you will base your entire assignment on one of the 2 case scenarios only].
2.Choose 2 different Recovery Processes from the 5 Recovery Processes outline in the CHIME (2011) Conceptual Recovery Framework as follows:
a. Connectedness.
b. Hope and optimism about the future.
c. Identity.
d. Meaning in Life.
e. Empowerment.
3.This model was discussed in the Week 1 Lecture this semester so you should start with reviewing this.
4.For both of the 2 Recovery Process’s you chose you are required to:
a. State the Recovery Process you are choosing to focus on and provide your own description for the process (supported with in-text references).
b.Write 3 Mental Health Nursing Interventions for the Consumer in the case study that are specifically relevant to the principles of the Recovery Process you have chosen (supported with in-text references).
c.Provide a reflective statement for each set of interventions intervention outlining why these interventions are going to support the aspect of the recovery process you discussed (supported with in-text references).
5.You will find a set of Writing Instructions on how to complete each section of the Assessment below.
6.You must support your work with Intext References using APA 7th Ed: In
particular this means that his means that you will need to locate references that support Recovery Oriented MH Nursing interventions that reflect the principles of the Recovery Model].
7.Please post all questions up on the Canvas Discussion Boards as this will allow all students to benefit from the answers.
8.In keeping with RMIT policy all assignments are to be submitted through the Turnitin Portal available via the course web page:
a.The assignment is due by 23:59 on Sunday night the portal will
remain open for a week past the due date to allow students with Extensions to submit however the time you submitted your work is recorded on the system so please make sure that it is submitted by 23:59.
The Turnitin portal will open 2 weeks prior to the assignment due date (Monday 24/08/20) to allow you to submit your assignment. You are allowed to submit it as many times as you would like up until 23:59; the assignment I will receive to mark will be the LAST one you submitted. 10.You are not required include an Introduction or Conclusion for this assignment though you may include Appendices as required.
11.You need to submit your Assignment as a single uploaded file that includes [1] a Title page (see below), [2] your Assignment, [3] your Reference List (in APA 7th Ed format along with any Appendices you wish to include. Your Title Page must be the first be the first page of your Assignment and must contain:
a. The Program code and title: BP032: Bachelor of Nursing.

c. Title of the Assignment.
d. Your Name and Student Number.

12.Finally, you must make sure your assignment is written in 3rd person past tense and uses headings. No use of I, me, my etc. This is a Care Plan but it is also a critical assignment that requires that you use the literature effectively and think about how the literature informs your practice in the given scenario.
Recovery Focused Nursing Care Plan Writing Instructions:
Recovery Process 1:
In this section you need to state the Recovery Process you are choosing to focus on and provide your own description for the process.
You must support your writing with in-text literature to support your description. This section should be ~ 50 words in length.
MH Nursing Interventions for the Consumer:
- For each of these 3 MH Nursing Interventions you need to:
[1] Describe clearly a specific and detailed MH Nursing intervention supporting this description with in text literature.
[2] Discuss how you would deliver the intervention for the consumer; this requires you link your intervention back to the care of the Consumer you chose. Consider how / when you might undertake the intervention and who else it might involve. Each of the Interventions should be ~100 words in length. - As per the instructions in #1: you need to make sure that your 3 MH Nursing Interventions are distinct and different from each other. Avoid interventions that essentially involve the same actions / components just described differently.
- Finally, you need to make sure that each of the 3 MH Nursing Interventions is specifically relevant to the care of the Consumer you chose (rather than being overly broad / generic). Critical Discussion Linking Interventions In this section you need to provide a summary of how your 3 MH Nursing Interventions actually relate and link back to the Recovery Process you chose in the first part of the question. How do your 3 interventions collectively contribute to the consumers personal experience of Connected ness, Hope and Optimism about the future, Identity, Meaning in Life or Empowerment? This section should be ~ 200 words in length.
