Assessment Task to be Undertaken:
Read the following instructions carefully in order to complete this part of the assessment for this course.
1.You are required to develop a clinical mentoring plan in the context of your practice environment. This plan should cover at least the first 3 mentoring sessions.
2.You are to utilise a colleague (either from your clinical practice or a fellow student in the Course) as part of your preparation as this will assist in providing the necessary focus and context to develop your mentoring plan (though you are not required to undertake the actual mentoring).
3.You must support your work with references. In particular this means that his means that you will need to undertake a cursory review of relevant literature (see section 2) as well as locating and including references that support the remaining sections of the report.
4.Please post all questions up on the Canvas Discussion Boards as this will allow all students to benefit from the answers.
Submission Guidelines:
In keeping with RMIT policy all assignments are to be submitted through the Turnitin Portal available via the course web page.
The report is due by 23:59 on Sunday night: the portal will remain open until this time however after the portal closes you will not be able to submit your report so please make sure that it is submitted by 23:59.
The Turnitin Portal will open 2 weeks prior to the report due date to allow you to submit your report.You are allowed to submit it as many times as you would like up until 23:59; the report I will receive to mark will be the LAST one you submitted.
To be accepted your Assignment submission MUST generate a Similarity Score (you are responsible for checking this). Submitting in Word or Pdf format is the best way to do this. If your submission does not generate a similarity score it cannot be checked for plagiarism and therefore will not be marked.

Assignment Format Requirements:
1.A Title Page must be attached to the front of each assessment. The title page is not given a page number. It must contain:
a. The Program code and title: MC268 Master of Mental Health Nursing.
b. Course Code & Title: NURS2187: Leadership, Supervision and Mentoring in Mental Health
c. Title of the assignment.
d. Your Name, Address and Student Number.
e. The Academic to whom the assignment is to be submitted to (Dr Gary Ennis).

2.The assignment must be typewritten in Times New Roman size 12 font.
3.A Table of Contents [including page numbers] should be included following the cover sheet.
4.Text must be 1.5 – Double spaced.
5.A margin of 3 cm on the left side of each page and margins or 2.5cm each at the right side, top and bottom of each page are required.
6.Main headings for each section you are discussing should be bolded and left justified, one double space above the first line of text.
7.Pages must be numbered consecutively in the top right hand corner, beginning at the Introduction i.e. page one of your text.
8.On each page (in the footer) is to be recorded your name & student number.
9.It is expected that a file copy of each written assignment will be kept by the student until the assessment has been marked.
10.The use of direct quotes should be kept to a minimum and if used need to indicate the page number with the citation.
11.Referencing must be completed utilising the APA referencing style at all times in the assignment. The guide for this is available on the RMIT Library Web page.
