Important Instructions to note:
1. The assignment is worth 20% of the assessment in this course.
2. There is one (1) ILAC question in the assignment worth 20% each (being 20
marks).
You must answer this ILAC question by providing a typed (not hand-written)
ILAC answer.
3. Assignments must be submitted electronically in TWO VERSIONS – it must be
submitted in BOTH Word and PDF versions into the ‘Online Submission of
Assignments’ folder under the Assessments Tab on the course Blackboard
site.
Please carefully read the instructions detailed in the submission folder. A paper
copy of the assignment should not be submitted to the BEL Collaborative Learning
Centre. Paper copies will not be marked.
4. Students must attach, fill in and sign the Assignment Cover Sheet found in
the 20% Business Law Assignment folder in the Assessments page on
Blackboard – to the front of their assignment submission which sets out:
- Their Student Number;
- Their name: Family Name, followed by First Name – (e.g. “Austin, Anthony”)
- Which Seminar the student is registered in: Seminar Number, Day and Time;
- The Students Total Word Count for their submission – not including the
assignment cover sheet and footnotes (The assignment cover sheet is not
counted towards the word limit); - Please also refer to the instructions in the Assignment Submission folder on
the naming requirements of the assignment that you submit.
5. For the Grade Criteria and Marking for the Assignment. Please look at the
information and the Grade Criteria (reproduced below) under the heading Business
Law Assignment in section 5.5 of the ECP on Blackboard – and as explained in the
slides in the Presentation on the 20% Business Law Assignment in the 20%
Business Law Assignment folder in the Assessments page on Blackboard.
