HLT54115 APH102 Assessing Physical Health Status Assignment-Laureate International University Australia.
Introduction:
Assessing the physical health status of patients often requires different techniques depending on the gender, age and makeup of the client. Other members of the healthcare team will review the information you have obtained from the client, in order to ensure a plan of holistic care is established early. This prevents actual or potential complications occurring and identifies individual needs during the assessment process. This assessment requires you to have a good understanding and knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and be able to demonstrate this during the assessment, admission and discharge process. This assessment provides an opportunity for you to show your understanding of how to apply this knowledge to clients in the health care setting.
Summary:
Following on from Assessment 1, this assessment presents two (2) scenarios relating to clients at different stages of their lives; an adult and an elderly client. When you have viewed the case studies, you will be required to respond to a number of questions related to the health related issues faced by the clients, specific to their developmental stage/age. Care planning will also be assessed related to actual or potential nursing diagnosis relating specifically to the scenario’s provided.
Please refer to the Task Instructions for details on how to complete this task.
