Assessment Details
This assessment task comprises six questions that you are required to answer in a written format, as part of your preparation for a potential upcoming job or promotion interview. Write your answers as if you
are preparing ahead of time for an interview and want to increase your chances of knowing what to say by spending time sorting out what you know and putting that knowledge into writing. In other words, do
not write your answers as if you are sitting in front of a selection panel and talking. Your writing will, therefore, be as formal as it was for the first assignment.

These are the questions you are required to answer, in written form, as preparation for an upcoming job or promotion interview:
1.Your application indicated that you participated in personality training as a part of the MBA program. Based on the results of your personality test, what do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of your personality type in relation to effective leadership and management of the
organisation; how do you plan to overcome the potential disadvantages?
2.This is a high-performance work setting where we must overcome obstacles and setbacks to achieve the desired business outcomes. Often, this means that members of senior management may adopt a demanding and confrontational style. If this situation arises, how would you manage
it? and what would you do to ensure that you are not overwhelmed by the situation and remain resilient?
3.We are a multinational enterprise, and we value the diversity of our workforce. But sometimes we experience cross-cultural communication barriers. What would you do to ensure a clear and open communication between your team members operating in different geographical regions with varied cultures?
4.We believe that effective communication is essential to influence others in a positive way. Can you elaborate your approach to influencing someone in a more senior role than yours to ensure that your insightful ideas and recommendations for the organisation are valued?
5.We have been struggling to motivate a group of employees who work in our Research and Innovation Department, despite giving them a 12 per cent salary increase! As a team leader, what would you do to improve their level of motivation, and why you think that approach will make a difference?
6.Innovation is critical for our business growth and success, but we are behind our competitors in this area. What are your thoughts on spurring creativity and innovation in a team?

Note specially: Your assignment must use the reading materials studied in this course. Assignments that rely on references that have not been studied in this course cannot achieve even a Pass grade because such assignments fail to demonstrate what you have learnt from studying this course in
leadership and management. Also note: There is no opportunity to resubmit failed assignments.

You will have to answer the set of six questions that you have already been given. These questions test your comprehension of the course materials and tools for understanding business and leadership problems and designing solutions.

Note: Your case study assignment submitted at the end of week five focused on the first three course topic modules, so the questions set for this assignment focus on the concepts covered in the latter half of the course. That is, topic modules 4 to 6.
