In writing up the Case in Study Report, the following must be addressed (as a minimum):
1.The case deals with an important and current issue of leadership from an organizational perspective.(It is important the group makes the effort and time to have strong discussions and design a plan on how to place and write up this case on the organisation demonstrating leadership.)
2.The case has a clear organizational leadership focus which stimulates discussions. Usually, such focus could be how a company demonstrates leadership and how and why it is worthy for consideration as a leader; it may also be a conceptual issue that is controversial and needs discussion. The bottom line is that the focus could bring out the knowledge and experiences and enabling you to learn from each other and to deepen your understanding of the focal issue.
3.The issue is sophisticated the case goes beyond the surface and compels you to consider competing perspectives and make judgments about important trade offs with appropriate theories to support.
4.The case provides objective descriptions of leadership in organizational context. It should not contain one-sided praise or criticism towards case company or case protagonists, nor should the group attribute non-evidenced feelings to the case protagonists.
5.The case provides sufficient and pertinent information.
6.Case writing should follow the scientific principle that the case content is fact-based and judgment is based on available data. The case has clear, accurate, consistent, and logical background information (about the industry, the firm, for example) and captures the most essential points. Second hand information must come from credible sources and be cited accurately.
7.The case is well-structured, highly logical and readable. It has an inviting opening and an ending with appropriate questions. It enables readers to quickly get immersed into the context and identify themselves with the protagonist
